Awards & Scholarships
PICPA offers a variety of programs to recognize outstanding students and educators. Scholarships are available for students enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university and majoring in accounting. Accouning and business majors can compete for prizes in the Student Writing Competition. Each year, one senior at each PA college is selected my college faculty for the prestigious Outstanding Senior Award. And, each year, PICPA recognizes an educator who has distinguished themselves in the classroom setting.
PICPA Scholarships
Last year, PICPA granted scholarships to 105 students. 60 students were first time winners, and 45 students renewed their scholarships from previous years. Scholarship candidates are judged by their intellectual capacity, leadership potential, financial need, and intent to pursue a career in accounting. Multi year scholarship amounts range from $1,000 - $15,000, and are determined based on the strength of the candidates application. Last year, $296,000 was awarded in PICPA Scholarships.
