High School Essay Contests

1st Place
Evgeny Pogorelov, Upper Dublin High School
While at Upper Dublin High School, Evgeny's academic interests have been business and technology. He has taken courses in accounting, investments, and programming. Evgeny will be attending Drexel University in the fall, where he plans to major in business with a concentration in finance through their accelerated five-year MBA program.

2nd Place
Mathew Gallagher, Bishop McDevitt High School
Matthew is actively involved with student activities at Bishop McDevitt High School. He is a member of the basketball team, baseball team, and World Affairs Club. Matthew will be attending Pennsylvania State University at University Park where plans to major in international politics.

3rd Place
Rosemary Cochrane, Bishop McDevitt High School
Rosemary is passionate about Bishop McDevitt High School and has been an active member of the student body for the last four years. She plays soccer and is a member of the Royal Masque, the Irish Club, the Italian club, the Royalist Newspaper, World Affairs Club, choir, and liturgy committee. She also was currently vice president of the student body. Rosemary will be attending Pennsylvania State University, and plans to study journalism.
