PICPA involvement:

Chisarick has served on numerous PICPA committees, including PICPA Council and the PICPA Professional Ethics Committee. She currently serves on the Strategic Advisory Board. She chaired the PICPA Educators Conference and has been a member of the Relations with Schools and Colleges Committee for 20 years.

What is your philosophy, regarding the teaching of accounting?

I believe the instructor's primary function is to facilitate learning. Therefore, I try to instill in the students a sense of ownership in the learning process and help them develop an appreciation for lifelong learning. Both in and out of the classroom, I stress the value of excellence and a positive attitude.
